ULTRASIL SI 310Silicone Based Water Repellent
Characteristics
ULTRASIL SI 310 is a solventless, water-diluted emulsion of a modified polysiloxane.
Application
ULTRASIL SI 310 is an additive used in manufacturing of aqueous masonry coatings and aqueous primers to enhance water repellency, water resistance and water-vapor permeability. It also improves the processability and anti-block characteristic of the aqueous coatings.
ULTRASIL SI 310 is suitable for:
- Silicone resin emulsion paints and silicone resin plasters
- Silicate emulsion paints and plasters
- Highly filled emulsion coatings
- Whitewash emulsions
- Interior paints
- Stoppers, reinforcing stoppers
- Aqueous facade primers
- Insulating materials
ULTRASIL SI 310 can be diluted with water for using as a water-repellent primer on mineral substrates and as a water repellent for manufacturing of insulating materials.

Processing
ULTRASIL SI 310 can be added undiluted to masonry coatings and primers during or after production process. It is recommended to add 1 wt % to masonry coatings and 5 wt % to primers.
ULTRASIL SI 310 can also be used as a water-repellent primer, in which case it should be diluted 1:9 parts by weight with water. When such primers are required to strengthen the substrate, it is recommended to add a polymer dispersion in hydrosol form.
For the impregnation of insulating materials, it is recemommended to dilute ULTRASIL SI 310 with water in the ratio 1:100 to 1:200 parts by weight.
